Professor of Psychology and Interdisciplinary Studies, Kennesaw State UniversityRoxanne A. Donovan is Professor of Psychology and Interdisciplinary Studies at Kennesaw State University. She earned a PhD and MA in Clinical Psychology and a Graduate Certificate in Women’s Studies from the University of Connecticut, a BA in Psychology from Rutgers University, and a BBA in Marketing from the University of Miami. Her scholarship and teaching are interdisciplinary with a focus on psychology, Black studies, and gender studies. Her research examines how the intersections of socio-structural variables such as gender and race impact well-being, particularly in Black women. She is also a licensed psychologist in Georgia and provides consultation, training, and media commentary on topics related to mental health, stress, work-life balance, and social justice.
