Heike Becker's current research interests revolve around the connections of politics and aesthetics, popular culture, social movements, popular protests, and nationalism. The regional focus of my work has been Southern Africa, mainly Namibia and South Africa. More recently, I have also begun to engage in more depth with global decolonisation movements.
